We appreciated the location, which was perfect. The Craftsman Company is within a walking distance of the hotel. Our second city trip and we would stay here again. Venue's not far from main attractions like The Gordon Highlanders Museum.
The Soprano St Magnus Court Hotel is ideally located to all transport links and very close to the central shopping areas of Aberdeen. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the lady who cleaned our room did an excellent job! Our room, only a standard double, was very comfortable. Our evening meal in the Bistro was really lovely and they have a good wine list, breakfasts were very good too.
The Hotel reception is placed on the first floor and is a bit on the small side, this and the bus stop just outside make the entrance feel a little unwelcoming. While our room was very clean and well equipped, the TV signal was poor, mainly due to a loose cable! The room had been recently re-decorated but unfortunately they seemed to have missed painting the skirting and door frames!!
Really enjoyed the location and convenience to the train station and Union Street in Aberdeen.
Our receptionist, Roneta, who also served in the restaurant, was very pleasant. She was able to extend our check out time, which was very much apprecaiated, when the orignial desk clerk was not flexible at all. Overall, a very good experience and would stay there again.
The service in this hotel was very good and the breakfast was excellent.
The room was comfortable, the hotel decor was interesting and bright. Very convenient for the railway station, buses and Union Street. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a good start to the day.
I found the staff very friendly and helpful, however I found the room to be dirty, the shower had mould between most of the tiles and the water was freezing meaning I could not have a bath or shower until after 1800 hrs when the water heating appeared to be switched on.
very friendly staff, and very helpfull when asked about places in the city, the room was clean, all in all a very plesant stay
Location was excellent, staff nice and breakfast excellent
The hotel was absolutely beautiful inside and better than some 4/5 star hotels! The staff were fantastic and let me check-in early without prior notice which I was very, very grateful for. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
This hotel was centrally situated in the middle of Aberdeen and represented value for money. Staff very pleasant and obliging. We ate in the bistro for 2 evenings and food very good. No adverse comments.
Nice warm room pleasant staff, good breakfast no complaints.
The Soprano St Magnus Court Hotel was very handy for travelling from Shetland as it is within walking distance of the ferry terminal and close to city centre shopping.
The bathroom was cold as there was no heating in the bathroom, couldn't get the shower to run hot water although there was hot water later in the morning. Having no lift in the hotel meant carrying luggage up several flights of stairs.
Clean room & quiet considering locatoion in centre of Aberdeen.
Great location, comfy bed. Large room and bathroom! Great price. Everything seemed clean to me. Staff very helpful. Breakfast just fine but very very limited choice.
Room was only set up for one and we had to ask for another teacup and towel but they fixed it up promptly. Hotel would not suit infirm/elderly. Quite a lot of stairs and the bath/show has a really high edge to get into and out of with no rails. Some cracks, falling apart around the light switches and skirting but nothing i was concerned about. No way to control the heat in the room yourself, sometimes it was too cold.
the services provided by the staff in the dinning room
would have loved to have internet services as we did not bring own computer
